llms-full.txt

llms-full.txt is a plain-text companion to llms.txt that contains a full content snapshot of a website's key pages, designed for AI engines to ingest directly without HTML parsing.

What it is

Where llms.txt is an index, llms-full.txt is the body. It concatenates the marketing-relevant content of a site (homepage, methodology, pricing, key guides) into a single plain-text file, ideally 10–50K words, hosted at /llms-full.txt. AI crawlers can fetch this single file to get the full context of the brand without crawling and parsing the HTML site. Anthropic's documentation explicitly recommends this pattern.

Why it matters for GEO

AI crawlers face the same JS-rendering and ambiguity problems as Google did pre-Lighthouse. Serving llms-full.txt removes that ambiguity entirely — you control exactly what the model sees.

The CiterLabs perspective
